Information architecture
Following the project kick-off meeting my first task in the process was to work on the information architecture of the site and draw up a sitemap, this document would be used to map out the user journey and also identify the number of key templates required.
Template wireframes
The next step in the process was to create detailed wireframes for each of the templates identified on the sitemap. These wireframes were also used as a simplified technical specification for the website with the functionality of the key features annotated with a brief description.
Template designs
With the information architecture and the user experience phases of the project complete, the next step was to create a full set of desktop designs and a mobile layout for the site using Photoshop.
